Ingredient Substitutions
- Vegan butter: You can replace the butter with an oil of your choice but it won’t be as tasty.
- Sea salt: You can replace it with any salt of your choice or 1 tablespoon of tamari.
- Maple syrup: You can omit the syrup or replace it with any sweetener of your choice.
- Broccoli: You can replace the broccoli with cauliflower.
- Homemade Vegan Cheese Seasoning: You can replace this with 2 teaspoons nutritional yeast, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon garlic, pinch of paprika, pinch of mustard powder.

Air Fryer Silicone Baking Dish
I often use this silicone baking dish when I’m baking with wet ingredients. It is 8 inches or 20 cm and square. It fits my Cosori Air Fryer. Make sure you measure the inside of your Air Fryer before purchasing an Air Fryer baking dish.

Non-Stick Pan
I highly suggest you use a non-stick pan for the vegetable and sauce part of this recipe. In a non-stick pan, this recipe cooks like a dream, with minimal stirring needed.

How To Make This Recipe
Follow the steps below to make this recipe with your chosenkitchen equipment.
Stove
- You can boil the broccoli by boiling it in a pan of boiling water on a high heat.
- When your broccoli is cooked, add all of the ingredients to a nonstick skillet and cook until all ingredients are incorporated.
Air Fryer
- Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and mix.
- Add the mixture to an air fryer safe dish and bake.
Oven
- Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and mix.
- Add the mixture to an oven safe dish and bake.

How To Store Leftovers
This recipe keeps for up to 4 days in the fridge in an airtight container. It also freezes well for up to 3 months. Defrost it before using it. Reheat it by warming it up gently in a pan.

Easy Vegan Cheesy Broccoli
Equipment
- Air Fryer
- Oven
- Medium Pot or Medium Frying Pan
Ingredients
- 1 Teaspoon Vegan Butter
- 1/2 Teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Vegan Cheese Seasoning
- 1 Teaspoon Maple Syrup
- 1 Head (400g) Of Broccoli
Garnish With
- 1 Teaspoon Nutritional Yeast (Optional)
Instructions
Stove Cooked Cheesy Roasted Broccoli
- Chop the broccoli into small floretts. I like to cut my broccoli straight into a pan.
- Cook the broccoli. You can boil the broccoli by boiling it in a pan of boiling water on a high heat for 5 minutes.
- When your broccoli is cooked, add all of the ingredients to a nonstick skillet and cook over a medium heat until the butter is melted and all ingredients are incorporated.
Cheesy Roasted Broccoli In Air Fryer
- Chop the broccoli and add all of the ingredients to a bowl and mix.
- Add the mixture to an air fryer safe dish and bake it at 400F/ 200F for 7 minutes or until the broccoli is soft.
Cheesy Roasted Broccoli In Oven
- Chop the broccoli and add all of the ingredients to a bowl and mix.
- Add the mixture to an oven safe dish and bake it at 400F/ 200F for 20 minutes or until the broccoli is soft.
